Bumblebee Early Child Care Centre is supporting the MS Readathon this August!
At Bumblebee Early Child Care Centre this month we are supporting the MS Readathon with all the educators and children reading books everyday.
The MS Readathon kicks off on the 1st August and wraps up on the 31st August at our early child care centre. The MS Readathon inspires kids to read as much as they can, throughout the month of August. And it is all for an incredible cause. The rules are simple. Read whatever you like, as much as you can, in August. You can read novels, text books, picture books – the books you read are totally up to you!
Reading takes children on incredible journeys of discovery—it awakens their imagination and builds their confidence. Children love the MS Readathon and it is a great way to get children excited about reading new books and favourites through early child care experiences while contributing to a wonderful cause.
KIDS HELPING KIDS
Funds raised from the MS Readathon will help children attend the special MS Family Camps. These camps help families living with multiple sclerosis to spend quality time together, learn more about multiple sclerosis and bond with others who are sharing their journey. MS Family Camps are in huge demand, and to make sure everyone who needs them can go, your help is urgently needed! The MS Readathon is such a wonderful way for kids to help other kids, all while falling in love with the wonder and magic of reading.
As part of the MS Readathon the Prep children will be going to the Lismore Library on the 21st of August to be involved in the Library book theme and explore new stories as well as a scavenger hunt ! Bumblebee will also be having a book character parade on the 23rd of August to continue with the adventure fun filled month.
