Rainbow Eagle

Rainbow Eagle came to visit Bumblebee Tuesday the 16th of February. Rainbow Eagle is an Aboriginal story teller who teaches the children and educators about the importance of being caretakers for the planet, plants, the beaches, the rivers, our forests, etc. Rainbow Eagle introduced the children to Different animals in the wild that they could help if they picked up rubbish The children were included in the story and got to help Rainbow Eagle with holding the puppets while he told his story. “Having a positive sense of identity and experiencing respectful, responsive relationships strengthens children’s interest and skills in being and becoming active contributors to their world”. Educators can further develop outcome 4 (Children are confident and involved learners through the ways children develop dispositions for learning such as exploring the diversity of cultures and social diversity. We promote this learning by promoting a strong sense of who they are and their connectedness to others – a shared identity as Australians. (p.25 & 34 Belonging, Being & Becoming –EYLF 2009)]
