Across all the rooms in the centre programming takes into account and reflects the:

  • Philosophy of the Centre
  • Early Years Learning Framework – “Being, Belonging, Becoming.”
  • Holistic development of the child
  • Independence and self help skills
  • Provision of self-selected, self-paced activities
  • Routines which meet individual needs and interests
  • Provision of inside and outside activities
  • Provision of quiet and active activities
  • Opportunity for individual, small and large group activities
  • Opportunity for small and large muscle activities
  • Understanding of nutrition
  • Opportunity for wonder and surprise

The centre program reflects the five learning outcomes outlined in the Early Years Learning Framework – Being, Belonging, Becoming. Through the Framework’s five learning outcomes educators will assist children develop:

  • a strong sense of their identity
  • connections with their world
  • a strong sense of wellbeing
  • confidence and involvement in their learning; and
  • effective communication skills
